Global Warming I watched this Documentary today.
I needed to rest this morning so I did (guilt free)
It struck a chord, I know very little about American politics and I give uninformed comments so please don't let me offend.
I personally don't like Bush, I don't like that our Prime Minister is his Lap Dog.
I don't like the war in Iraq.
I hate the waste of Life.
I do want World Peace.
I Love this quote. Mark Twain!
What gets us into Trouble is not what we dont know
Its what we know for sure that just aint so.....................
I do want to help our Planet.
I do recycle I do compost.
I do my best, so far as I can for know(financially)
I would prefer solar and using sustainable energy but that is not possible YET.
Uninformed foreigner from OZ asks why anyone would vote for Bush over Al Gore.
Just a question, be gentle, just a change of mood and pace for me I am curious and I just need a change of subject other than my treatment. I am sure you understand.
This Film really woke me up and I thought I was aware, what blew me away more than the movie, was comments on you tube.
The complacency some of the explanations and reactions. I honestly cant believe that some people are so blind to our earths situation. Some of it sounded like a campaign trail but you cant deny the content.
Great Documentary if you haven't seen it worth a look.
Peace and Health To all xxx

I've been wanting to see that film! Glad you had a chance to. I voted for Al Gore & I still believe that there was illegal & faulty activity in the election that "gave" the election to George Bush. What a crime. We will have had 8 years of what many scholars are calling the worst presidency of our time. So much damage.
I am glad you took some much needed guilt-free time to relax ... I have had 2 days of relaxing time & my body is thanking me by being free of some of the worst symptoms. Yeah!
Love to you sis, xx, JP
Hey Shazzy!
Right...
First and foremost, if you don't post this photo over on Create a Connection's Candlelight prompt, I will!! (who cares if it's a few days late). I love it!
Second... thanks for your words of encouragement on my resolutions! Good luck with yours too! I'm doing ok on the baking and the dieting and the blogging, funnily enough... not so great on the driving (haven't started lessons yet... keep putting if off :(
Third: If anyone enlightens you with an even vaguely convincing reason to support George a**h*le Bush, please let me know what it is... as I will gladly (and vehemently) refute! (sorry, I'm not as politically correct as you ;)
Fourth: I hate that my Taoiseach (Prime Minister) is his lap dog too... on more issues than one... and despite claims to the contrary. Thank heavens Ireland's neutral.
Fifth: I loooove that you have thrown out these questions! The idea of a change of pace is cool!
Sixth: This has gotten a little long... Maybe I should've just e-mailed! ooops.
Love galore,
Vxxx
I LOVE this photo!!!! Just beautiful..
I have yet to see the movie but I definitely will be soon. If I ponder too long on the subject, I feel fear over what my grandkids will be facing, let alone all of us, as things are getting worse quicker than thought I believe.
Great picture...!!! Hope you are feeling better and that the next treatment is easier...Fridays if I remember is your treatment day?? Will be seeing you up and dancing and breezing through it all...

lots of hugs to you...

Thanks for your nice comments on my blog. I agree An Inconvenient Truth is a documentary well worth seeing. We must all do more to help the environment.
Dear Shazz, when you left the comment I didn't know what you were talking about when you said Lance's photo - went to his site and didn't see a photo. But now I've seen the great photo at Deb's site and you're right- it's wonderful and wish it were real!
My darling... you are just so darn wonderful in every way.

The documentary is a real call to arms. We do what we can in turning out lights, composting vegetation etc but what we should do is leave the car at home but for that we need an efficient public transport system. We'd have solar heating but it's very expensive.
There's some sort of event on the 1st feb I believe where we're encouraged to turn off as many electrical appliances as possible to show our governments we care. Check out local websites.
Interesting post and beautiful photo.
Love
Angela
If that movie of Al Gore's had come out BEFORE the presidential election...he'd be our president now!
Lovely picture :-)
Shaz,
Just to say; I agree with EVERYtnhing you've said here.
